Client-oriented changes in seed trade in Latvia
From the 1st July, 2017 seed sales business in Latvia is transferred from SIA Dotnuva Baltic to SIA Linas Agro.
SIA Linas Agro (Latvia) takes over the whole range of seeds of Dotnuva Baltic and becomes responsible for seed trading strategy development and implementation in Latvia and all other matters related to seed trading.
Meanwhile SIA Dotnuva Baltic (Latvia) will concentrate on the sales of new agricultural machinery and grain equipment, service efficiency and development.
As from now the sales of seeds portfolio of Dotnuva Baltic in the Baltics are performed by the following companies: UAB Dotnuva Baltic in Lithuania, SIA Linas Agro in Latvia, and AS Dotnuva Baltic in Estonia.
“The most convenient thing for a farmer is to buy the widest range of agricultural inputs from one spot. With this change we focus on strengthening separate activities in Latvia: SIA Linas Agro (Latvia) becomes more crops- oriented by supplying fertilizers, plant protection products and wide range of seeds to the customers. SIA Dotnuva Baltic (Latvia) will enhance sales of new agricultural equipment and grain equipment, service efficiency and development. UAB Dotnuva Baltic (Lithuania) will further be responsible for maintaining relationships with the main seed suppliers and breeders, for seed production and development of new varieties. We expect this change to create greater comfort for our client and strengthen the Group’s position on the Latvian market,” says Darius Jaloveckas, Managing Director of AB Linas Agro and CEO of UAB Dotnuva Baltic.
