AB Linas Agro Group – among largest Central and Eastern European companies.
AB Linas Agro Group, the sales of which grew by 53 percent up to EUR 592 million last year, scaled higher by as many as 130 places, to the 361st place, in the list of the largest Central and Eastern European companies Coface Cee Top 500 compiled by the business risk management company Coface. 16 Lithuanian, 7 Latvian and 4 Estonian companies are on the list of the largest Central and Eastern European companies Coface Cee Top 500 in 2014.
“We may rejoice that retail trade representatives of our country are capable of increasing the turnover by the rates higher than the growth of GDP of the country; Linas Agro Group has also made a marked contribution, which changed significantly after the income surged by more than 50% – this was mostly determined by the record harvest of 2012,” Mantvydas Štareika, Director of Commerce at Coface Lietuva, pointed out.
“Our jump in the list is not a surprise. Without taking a pride, we consider ourselves to be the leaders of the cereals sector. Investment has brought results. We have invested in the development of the elevators’ network, agricultural companies, acquired other companies, for instance, some poultry companies in Latvia,” asserted Tomas Tumėnas, Finance Director of AB Linas Agro Group.
Meanwhile, AB Linas Agro Group was in the 396th place in the list of top 500 companies of Central European region compiled by the international audit and business consulting company Deloitte this year.
